When grading your essays, the TAs and I strive to make the score that you receive on your essay accurately indicate how well you have answered the question. At times it is possible that the score that you received on your essay does not correlate with how well you answer the question so this essay resubmission policy is designed to correct those rare mistakes.
Community Ecology, Macroecology and Life History. In the Ernest lab, we believe that both the study of general ecological properties and detailed knowledge of specific systems are important for understanding how nature will respond to the major perturbations affecting many ecosystems.
Thanks for stopping by! I am an animal ecologist with broad research interests in community dynamics and structure, animal-plant interactions, and conservation biology. I enjoy linking theory with data, and I strive to address important ecological concepts while remaining grounded in empiricism. Finally, I have long-standing professional and personal interests in the ecology, conservation, and natural history of mammals.
Weecology is founded on the belief that better communication and collaboration between empirical and quantitative scientists is necessary for tackling many of the big scientific challenges in ecology. Weecology was created by the Ernest Lab. Niche opportunities, and invasion dynamics in a desert annual community. A strong test of the Maximum Entropy Theory of Ecology.
A strong test of the Maximum Entropy Theory of Ecology. Exploring the spatially explicit predictions of the Maximum Entropy Theory of Ecology. Created with Artisteer by Ethan White and Morgan Ernest.
